Phoretic Rogues and Strip & Embellish at xCoAx 2023

Phoretic Rogues detail

I am happy to participate in the Conference on Computation, Communication, Aesthetics & X (xCoAx) this year again, bringing two pieces to Weimar in July: Phoretic Rogues is the second installment of the ongoing artistic research project Rogues with Nayarí Castillo on hybrid analogue-digital beings. The two beings we bring to gallery Eigenheim not only communicate via sound and light with their environment, but they ask the human visitors to travel with them (phoresis) as information packages via a carrier object moved through space. In the performance track, the duo Strip & Embellish with Daniele Pozzi establishes an interlinking sonic structure that plays with repeatability and limits of control.
