A House of Simultaneous Arrivals at Domenig Steinhaus, Carinthia

We are about to inaugurate Ein Haus der simultanen Ankünfte | A House of Simultaneous Arrivals, the second of two exhibitions coming out of the multi-year simularr research project. With it we return to one of the sites of the project’s field work, the Domenig Steinhaus at Lake Ossiach, an exciting archiectural manifest. The exhibition not only gathers pieces and artefacts from two and half years of artistic research, but months long work specifically for the occasion. While the exhibition Rotationskörper is still ongoing in Graz, we made a new selection of positions for the Steinhaus, where we have to opportunity to spread out across different spaces. They include from my side, the sound installation Reticule (cliché), the research objects Medusa (sound installation) and Enantiomorph (auricularis) (prototype wearable), and the table top version of Kontakt (simultan). Most collaborators of the simularr project are represented, and this time Andrea Bakketun will join us for the setup, creating a site-specific video installation.
The exhibition runs from 24 August till 21 September.
